About Us

Higher Whiddon Farm

Chris Honour Racing began in 2020 and in three seasons amassed £213,972 in prize money from only 14 stables, with half of the 151 runners finishing in the top four. Our successes couldn’t happen without our loyal and very supportive owners who we strive to reward as best we can.

Having grown up around horses from the age of 10, Chris quickly decided that racing was for him. His career began with Oliver Sherwood who gave him his first ride as a conditional jockey aged 18. He retired from race riding 16 years later (in 2011) after riding out his claim with 75 winners, shortly after the birth of his daughter.

Chris’s affinity with horses is clear for all to see, his yard prioritises the love and care of the horses before anything else. His wife Becky plays an active role in Chris Honour Racing and is regularly seen on the yard or at the racecourse. Chris and Becky can often be heard saying “The horses come first, then the owner, then it’s us”.

The yard maintains a family feel, which is very important to Chris and Becky. Everyone is greeted with a warm welcome and their children Joshua and Amelia have important roles in the yard too!
